Premium aluminium bottled water brand Re:Water has initiated a significant five-year, eight-figure partnership with Ball Corporation, the leading supplier of aluminium food and drink packaging globally.

This agreement will enable Ball Corporation to deliver tens of millions of bottles, bolstering Re:Water’s swift expansion in the retail, catering, and hospitality sectors. This aligns seamlessly with Re:Water’s commitment to sustainable packaging and advancing the circular economy.

The new contract enhances the companies’ longstanding collaboration, emphasizing their mutual dedication to developing genuinely sustainable packaging solutions. Central to this initiative is Re:Water’s pledge to utilize 100% recycled aluminium. This approach ensures that materials are locally sourced from the UK and Europe, effectively minimizing the carbon footprint and mitigating the environmental repercussions of long-distance imports.

Founded in 2021 and owned by Berrington Pure Spring Water, Re:Water has experienced remarkable growth, quickly establishing itself as one of the UK’s prominent sustainable water brands. The company has successfully sold over 12 million bottles, with distribution in venues such as The National Trust, David Lloyd Leisure, Cornish Bakery, LW Theatres, The Eden Project, M&S, Pret, Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, Buckingham Palace, and over 5,000 retail outlets nationwide.

By utilizing 100% recycled aluminium sourced locally, Re:Water bottles are crafted for refilling, reusing, and infinite recycling. This innovative design merges style, sustainability, and convenience, offering a premium alternative to single-use plastics, cartons, and glass.

Earlier this year, Re:Water was honored with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation, recognized as one of only 46 UK businesses to receive this prestigious accolade in 2025. The company celebrated this achievement at Windsor Castle with King Charles.

Victoria Marletta, Commercial Vice-President of Personal & Home Care at Ball Corporation, said: “Our purpose is clear: to unlock the infinite potential of aluminium to advance a world free from waste. What customers seek in today’s world is enduring value – solutions that are not only effective, but responsible. By listening to our customers and co-creating scalable solutions, we’re delivering aluminium innovations that reduce waste, lower emissions, and preserve product integrity.”

“We’ve worked with Re:Water for many years and have watched the business grow substantially year on year. Their commitment to true sustainability sets them apart – and when they were honoured with a King’s Award this year, it only confirmed what we already knew: they’re leaders in the UK market.”

Matt Crocker, Director at Re:Water, stated: “This is one of our biggest ever deals and a milestone moment for our business. Ball is a trusted partner, and this agreement secures the next stage of our growth. Since launch, we’ve seen consistent high double-digit growth – proof that consumers are demanding better choices.”

“For us, it’s essential to use 100% recycled aluminium that’s locally sourced from within the UK and Europe – otherwise it’s just another greenwashing product. Our goal is to remain the most sustainable bottled water on the market, with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry.”

This recent development positions Re:Water at the forefront of the sustainable food and drink packaging movement, reinforcing its mission to eliminate single-use plastics and champion circular economy solutions.
