Sidel will highlight its cutting-edge packaging solutions for a wide range of sectors, including the food industry, at the upcoming Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) Show. Taking place from September 26 to 28, 2023 at NEC Birmingham, you can find us at Stand C100.
Among the highlights this year is the Cermex ProSelex infeed system for packers, the latest agile Sidel robotic palletiser called RoboAccess_Pal S, and a selection of sustainable and reliable PET packaging solutions.
The brand-new and flexible Cermex ProSelex infeed system, introduced earlier in the year, will be showcased by Sidel at the PPMA Show. Thierry Grassart, Sidel’s account director for food, home, and personal care industries in North-West Europe, explains that this innovation is especially beneficial for manufacturers who have developed sophisticated containers on their production line and want to prevent damage such as scratching, denting, or tipping before being protected with secondary packaging.
Grassart goes on to say, “The new generation of Cermex ProSelex collating infeed module overcomes the packing complexity of unstable shaped containers. This streamlined grouping device can be connected to any type of case packer. It optimizes packing operations, ensuring extreme efficiency, high availability, and greater operability. It guarantees continuous product loading flows, minimum upstream accumulation, full container integrity, and incredible speeds of up to 300 products per minute. Changeovers are also fast and easy, taking only 1 to 2.5 minutes.”
Sidel will also be showcasing the RoboAccess_Pal S, their latest robotic palletiser, at the PPMA Show. This advanced machine combines robotics and cobotics for exceptional performance. It can achieve speeds of up to 12 cycles per minute and handle a case payload of up to 25kg, delivering a fast return on investment in just one to two years. With a footprint of less than 12m² for two stations and a significant pallet height of 1700mm, RoboAccess_Pal S offers a new level of compactness.
At the PPMA Show, Sidel will demonstrate its commitment to eco-friendly packaging solutions to meet the demands of the market. This includes showcasing their blowing solutions with preferential heating technology, which ensures ideal shape and wall thickness. Whether standalone or combined with filling in a single machine, this process provides accurate control over material distribution.
Throughout the event, Sidel’s experts will present real-world examples of their successful partnerships with companies such as IFFCO Group in the Middle East, where Sidel’s PET lines have helped strengthen condiments production capacity. Additionally, they will highlight their collaboration with Lesieur France, where Sidel’s three Combi solutions have supported the brand’s sustainability and flexibility vision for light-weighted rPET edible oil bottles.
Thierry Grassart concludes, “By continuously understanding the challenges of the Food, Home, and Personal Care market, we strive to deliver smart, advanced packing and palletising systems, as well as innovative packaging line solutions. Our goal is to enhance our customers’ agility in managing their production lines throughout the entire product lifecycle. With our solutions, industry players can unleash their creativity and achieve remarkable levels of flexibility, operational efficiency, and adaptability to meet current and future trends. We invite you to visit us at PPMA Show and experience our offerings firsthand.”
