International flexible packaging manufacturer Korozo Group (Korozo) is set to unveil the future of food and drink packaging at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2025.

Scheduled from 29 September to 1 October at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Pack Expo Las Vegas 2025 promises to be an essential gathering for industry leaders.

Visitors to Booth #SL-19065 are encouraged to explore Korozo’s innovative solutions designed to meet the dynamic demands of the food and drink sustainable packaging sector. Attendees can witness the company’s commitment to “Delivering Sustainability, Pack by Pack” firsthand.

Korozo will present a range of advancements in recyclable packaging, including cutting-edge pet food packaging solutions, a diverse collection of stand-up pouches, and high-performance barrier films. Notably, the company will introduce its new FDA-compliant vacuum skin packaging (VSP) film tailored for fresh seafood. This packaging ensures a critical oxygen transmission rate of at least 10,000cc/sqm/24 hours, effectively maintaining oxygen levels to inhibit harmful bacteria growth.

Another centerpiece of Korozo’s exhibition is its proprietary KoroRCY PE-based laminating film. This product, manufactured in-house with advanced extrusion technology, can be incorporated into various packaging types, including pouches and flow packs. KoroRCY facilitates brands’ transition to MDO-PE flexible packaging, designed specifically for recyclability and circularity.

KoroRCY is already embraced by numerous brands across the globe, enabling them to create functional mono-material constructions that align with existing flexible plastics and PE recycling systems. These structures offer superior barrier and performance characteristics suitable for a wide range of food and beverage applications, from fresh and frozen goods to dried products and non-food items.

With Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws implemented in multiple states and gaining traction elsewhere, recyclable packaging designs have become vital for US brands and retailers. Currently, 20% of the US population is poised to be affected by these laws.

In conjunction with these developments, there is significant momentum towards establishing recycled content quotas. Although federal mandates are yet to be adopted, many states are enacting laws to enforce minimum recycled content requirements, encouraging a shift in responsible packaging practices.

Korozo currently offers MDO-PE mono-material packaging structures featuring 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content for non-contact-sensitive applications. The goal is to increase this percentage to over 35% by the end of the decade, ultimately aiming for at least 65% PCR content by 2040.

Dr. Betül Türel Erbay, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at Korozo, emphasized, “Our position at the heart of tomorrow’s flexible packaging industry is built on our role today as a manufacturer of sustainable flexible packaging and films that are at the center of the circular packaging value chain.”

She added, “Innovations such as KoroRCY are driving this. They are necessary to help the whole industry transition towards a sustainable and circular future. They also enable us to deliver on our promise: Delivering Sustainability, Pack by Pack.”

Daniel Strickland of DJS Packaging Solutions, representing Korozo Group in North America, stated, “As the industry across North America embraces the challenges and looks for solutions for tomorrow, Pack Expo Las Vegas 2025 becomes the perfect opportunity for the entire flexible packaging sector to evaluate its current position and step confidently into a secure and sustainable future.”

Kemal Yürüm, Korozo’s Protein Segment Market manager, will also attend Pack Expo Las Vegas 2025. He remarked, “I am looking forward to introducing customers and industry contacts to our expertly engineered portfolio of solutions that deliver exceptional performance while promoting sustainability and circularity.”

He highlighted, “For those involved in the sale and distribution of fresh seafood, our 10K VSP solution arrives at the right time. Consumer demand for these products is growing in the US, necessitating a reliable partner capable of supplying high-quality, functional packaging solutions.”

Pack Expo Las Vegas 2025 will take place from 29 September to 1 October at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with Korozo Group exhibiting at Booth #SL-19065.
