Greif, an industry leader in industrial packaging solutions, is poised to introduce its carbon emissions reduction calculator, The Greif Green Tool Lite, at Scanpack this month. This event marks the first introduction of Green Tool Lite in the Scandinavian market, equipping customers with an interactive method to evaluate and minimize their carbon footprint associated with packaging choices, particularly in the realm of food and drink packaging.

The Green Tool Lite leverages independent lifecycle data to assess the environmental impact of Greif’s most sought-after industrial packaging solutions, which include intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and both plastic and steel drum products. With a user-friendly interface, this tool delivers carbon footprint metrics efficiently, empowering customers to make informed decisions regarding sustainable packaging.

“Customers need to make informed decisions about their industrial packaging to successfully reach their sustainability targets, and that’s what the Green Tool Lite offers,” explains Bengt Wallentin, Technical Sales Specialist at Greif Scandinavia. “At Scanpack, visitors will have the opportunity to try out the software firsthand, analyze their current CO2 footprint, and discover strategies to reduce it in collaboration with Greif.”

In addition to the Green Tool Lite, Greif will showcase its newly redesigned GCUBE Flex 2.0, an innovative IBC specifically engineered for the safe transport of sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics. The GCUBE Flex 2.0 incorporates a composite design, featuring a protective steel cage and a flexible inner liner that automatically expands to ensure liquid stability and maintain product quality during transit.

“Listening to our customers’ needs is essential to creating packaging solutions that not only fulfil their specific requirements but also drive progress in sustainability. Trade shows like Scanpack offer a valuable opportunity to engage directly with customers, understand their challenges and drive innovations that support both their business success and our shared commitment to protecting the environment,” added Jacob Demen, Sales Director Scandinavia at Greif.

Visitors can connect with Greif’s experts and explore these innovative solutions at Scanpack, Booth B02:39.
