In a significant move, Eviosys has measured its scope 3 emissions for the first time, continuing its collaborative efforts with suppliers and customers to align emissions reduction goals across the value chain. This builds on the company’s success in scopes 1 and 2, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability.
Recognized for its impressive achievements, Eviosys has been awarded the prestigious Platinum recognition from EcoVadis, showcasing its environmental stewardship and placing it in the top 1% of evaluated companies globally.
Efforts to Reduce Emissions
Through investments in advanced oxidisers and incinerators, Eviosys has significantly reduced VOC emissions, achieving a 10% reduction since 2022 and a 20% cumulative reduction since 2020. Major upgrades to plants in Murcia and Mérida have increased renewable energy usage, with plans to install solar panels at two more facilities this year to further increase renewable energy utilization.
Eviosys is also addressing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the value chain, focusing on carbon intensity in steel production and reducing food waste. The company ensures steel suppliers are certified by ResponsibleSteel and committed to emissions reductions and carbon neutrality goals.
Additionally, Eviosys is partnering with charities like FareShare to combat food waste and champion canning as a solution for surplus food preservation. Through donations and support, Eviosys is contributing to the fight against food waste.
Commitment to People and Sustainability
Effective training programs have been crucial in fostering sustainability practices across Eviosys, with 192 employees receiving sustainability training in 2023. By providing education on sustainability to all managers globally, Eviosys has set a pioneering industry standard resulting in significant internal benefits.
With a focus on inclusion and diversity, Eviosys has narrowed its pay gap to 4.4% and increased female representation in managerial positions to 30%, outperforming industry norms and driving gender equality within the manufacturing sector.
