At the upcoming FachPack 2025 exhibition, Coveris is set to elevate its No Waste vision by showcasing an industry-leading portfolio of sustainably designed films, labels, cartons, and paper-based packaging solutions. These innovations cater to a diverse range of applications in the food and drink packaging, logistics, and supply chain sectors. Fully aligned with its No Waste strategy, Coveris is enabling customers to meet their sustainability goals by providing advanced packaging options in both plastic and paper formats.

“All the showcased solutions reflect our No Waste vision and mark the outstanding progress we have made on our ESG journey. From pioneering recyclable packaging and advancing circular economy initiatives through ReCover, to empowering our teams and promoting sustainability in our operations and culture, we are driving meaningful change for our industry and our partners,” says Coveris CEO Christian Kolarik.

Realizing the Circular Economy in Practice

In its commitment to enhancing recycling and material recovery, Coveris will introduce various closed-loop, recyclable, and recycled packaging innovations. Notable among them is SleeveFlexR Stretch, an advanced sustainable sleeve solution that integrates 35%, 50%, or 75% recycled content. Positioned as a cost-effective alternative to shrink sleeves, it is produced from high-quality recyclates sourced from our in-house ReCover de-inking and recycling facility, thereby reinforcing a genuine closed-loop model.

Another highlight is FilmLiteR Stretch, a fully recyclable pallet transportation film boasting over 30% recycled content. Designed to optimize load stability and product protection specifically in the beverage sector, it ensures safe transport and long-term storage. Importantly, FilmLiteR Stretch is manufactured using 100% renewable energy, and its heatless application process significantly reduces carbon emissions, contributing to a decreased environmental footprint.

Innovative, Sustainable Alternatives for Food Markets

In the food and drink sustainable packaging sector, Coveris’ BarrierFresh MAP tray solution for meat, fish, and poultry (MFP) reduces plastic content by 90% while ensuring both recyclability and extended shelf-life. This solution combines sustainably sourced board with a specially developed EVOH barrier film, offering a fully printable, hermetically sealed, single-SKU pack that maintains product integrity and recyclability within the MFP category.

Additionally, Coveris will showcase MonoFlexBP, a comprehensive solution incorporating a thermoformable base web paired with a resealable lidding film for meat and cheese packaging. With its high oxygen barrier and PET/PA-free composition, it provides excellent product protection

and enables resealing on PP trays multiple times—delivering consumer convenience without compromising sustainability. Another noteworthy innovation is Coveris’ Ultra-Low SIT (sealing initiation temperature) CPP lamination films, designed for high-speed FFS packaging across food, pet food, home, and personal care products. With optimized sealing strength at 85°C, this solution supports recyclability while delivering exceptional sealing strength and mechanical properties. It is available in both transparent and white options, with thicknesses ranging from 30 to 100 μm.

Visitors at FachPack 2025 will also discover MonoFlexFibre Pure Max, a monomaterial paper-based packaging substrate tailored for cereal, protein, and chocolate bars and tablets. Despite being made from a single layer of paper, it ensures high visual impact, robust barrier properties, and complete recyclability within existing paper streams.

Integrated Security Packaging for End-to-End Supply Chain Protection

This year, Coveris will also unveil the industry-leading SourceTag range, which now encompasses both labels and cartons. This tamper-evident solution seamlessly integrates covert security at the print source, enhancing operational efficiency by eliminating the necessity for in-store tagging or removal. Compatible with existing retail infrastructure, SourceTag provides discreet protection, streamlines inventory management, and supports comprehensive supply chain security from source to store. With three adaptable technologies, SourceTag enhances both operational efficiency and product protection across the entire retail journey.

To discover more about these innovations and Coveris’ No Waste sustainability strategy, visit the Coveris team at booth 232 in hall 4 during the FachPack trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, from September 23rd to 25th, 2025.
