Cepac Group, a leader in food and drink packaging, is proud to announce the successful start-up of a new Heiber + Schröder tray forming machine, CE1560-3. This investment reflects our commitment to continually enhance our business and meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions in the food and drink industry.

The CE1560-3 is a state-of-the-art tray forming machine from Heiber + Schröder, renowned for their exceptional quality and innovative technology. As one of their larger formats, this machine will enable us to significantly increase our production capacity of microflute corrugated trays under our popular Flutepac brand. Located in Altham, Lancashire, our site will be equipped to meet the rising demand for these trays among our valued customers.

Featuring three production lanes, the CE1560-3 delivers higher output of finished cardboard trays, ensuring shorter lead times for our clients. Furthermore, this advanced machine offers greater flexibility in tray production, enabling us to cater to a wide range of needs. Particularly, we will be able to manufacture out-of-home food containers and other conical trays, expanding our product portfolio to meet evolving market trends.

“The food sector has experienced a significant surge in demand for sustainable packaging solutions. With the addition of the new tray forming machine from Heiber + Schröder, we are well-positioned to capitalize on these opportunities and better serve our customers throughout the UK,” states Chris Ford, our Group Sales & Marketing Director. “Our Flutepac corrugated trays have garnered considerable interest across various applications, including sushi, fresh produce, and more. Their special moisture and water barrier coatings, which are 100% recyclable, make them an appealing choice for foodstuffs, fresh produce, and baked goods. As the food industry faces mounting pressure to replace single-use plastic packaging, our increased capacity equips us to reinforce our commitment to sustainability.”
