Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe (AGP-Europe), a key business unit of Ardagh Group, has collaborated with The Absolut Company International to introduce Absolut Haring, the latest artist-edition bottle. This unique design draws inspiration from Keith Haring’s iconic 1986 artwork featuring the Absolut vodka bottle.
In partnership with design agency Pearlfisher, this striking bottle is produced exclusively at Ardagh Glass Packaging’s facility in Limmared, Sweden. It vividly captures Haring’s artistic essence with intricately debossed dancing figures and a bold yellow panel. When viewed through the clear glass, this design creates a reflective illusion that makes the entire bottle appear yellow.
“The Absolut Haring artist-edition bottle perfectly demonstrates how design, technology and art can come together in glass,” said John Oczabruk, Product Designer at Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe. “Reproducing Keith Haring’s artwork through debossing demanded extreme accuracy, to maintain uniform depth and width around the bottle. Aligning the debossing precisely with the screen printing ensured a flawless, visually stunning result.”
Moreover, each bottle comprises over 60%* recycled glass cullet, reflecting both companies’ strong commitment to sustainable packaging solutions in the food and drink sector.
Launched exclusively in Travel Retail and rolling out in global markets from September onwards, the Absolut Haring artist-edition bottle continues The Absolut Company International’s tradition of collaborating with visionary artists to celebrate creativity and connectivity in food and drink packaging.
