Global closure producer United Caps has unveiled the 27 H-PAK, a development aimed at enhancing flexibility for beverage brands within the carton packaging industry.
In the past, manufacturers in this sector were often confronted with a narrow range of closure choices, which limited their options for established packaging formats.
The introduction of the 27 H-PAK alters this situation by providing a practical alternative closure that integrates easily into current production workflows. For beverage producers, this development allows for the adoption of a new cap without the necessity of extensive system modifications. The closure features a “plug n’ place” design that facilitates quick implementation, enabling brands to scale operations more efficiently, source with greater agility, and sustain line efficiency without complicating processes.
From a functional perspective, the 27 H-PAK introduces user-friendly improvements to consumer packaging. The cap includes a sturdy hinge design and a smooth opening functionality with an impressive 150-degree opening angle, ensuring reliable performance from production to end use.
Importantly for brands focusing on sustainability goals, this new closure is highly adaptable. It is designed to work effectively with both standard carton complexes and those without aluminum, allowing beverage producers to transition easily to more environmentally friendly packaging options.
“In many carton packaging environments, manufacturers have had to work within a very limited set of closure options,” said Benoît Henckes, CEO of United Caps. “With 27 H-PAK, we are introducing a new level of flexibility that allows customers to move forward without having to rethink their entire production setup. That balance between continuity and progress is becoming increasingly important across the industry.”
