Finnish health food group Raisio has announced a new business structure to align with its recently unveiled three-year strategic plan.

In its official statement, Raisio indicated that the reorganization will affect its organizational structure, operating model, and leadership team. New appointments will be made as part of this transition.

The publicly traded company will reorganize its business model into two key category-focused segments: breakfast, snacking, and food solutions combined, along with heart health.

A separate unit will concentrate on new business development, led by CEO Pasi Flinkman.

Flinkman stated, “With the new organization, we aim for holistic, accountable management and fast, consumer-oriented decision-making. The new structure enables effective implementation of the strategy and enhances cost-efficiency.”

This organizational reform will also modify the group’s financial reporting framework, distinguishing between brands, industrial operations, and other functions.

The brands and industrial segment will include the breakfast, snacking, food solutions, and heart health units. This segment will focus on both consumer and B2B markets, with Europe as the primary area of operation. The prominent Benecol and Elovena brands will be part of this reporting division.

Conversely, the other operations segment will encompass new business development and shared functions.

Earlier this year, the owner of the Benecol cholesterol-fighting yogurt and spreads brand set an ambitious goal to achieve €250m ($271.3m) in revenue by the end of 2027. This represents a more than 10% increase in organic terms from last year’s figure of €227m.

Furthermore, Raisio is targeting EBIT of €30m during the strategy period, reflecting a significant increase from the €23m reported in 2024.

As part of this leadership reorganization, Noora Pöyhönen has been appointed as chief business officer for the breakfast, snacking, and food solutions unit. She will transition to Raisio from her current position as vice president of biscuits and crisps at Finnish food peer Fazer, beginning in the first quarter of 2026.

Mikko Lindqvist, who formerly served as Raisio’s chief sales officer, has been appointed as chief business officer for heart health.

Raisio has also announced the termination of the chief development officer role for the group, resulting in Olavi Erkinjuntti’s departure from the company.

As a result of these changes, 14 positions will be eliminated, with nine through employment terminations and the remainder via retirement. Initially, 20 jobs were expected to be cut, but the restructuring has led to the creation of new positions.

Raisio plans to publish its first half-year financial report for 2025, reflecting the new structure, on August 12.
