JBT Proseal recently announced a significant milestone: the installation of its 8000th machine with long-term partner, Bakkavor Group. This achievement emphasizes Proseal’s unwavering commitment to innovation in the food manufacturing sector.
This installation not only highlights a new chapter in Proseal’s product evolution but also marks the transition from the legacy F40 and F45 models, which have reliably served the industry for the past two decades. The shift to the advanced GT machines underscores Proseal’s focus on enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability within food manufacturing.
Historically, the F-generation machines have been integral to Proseal’s offerings. The introduction of the GT range in 2006, followed by the GTs range in 2015, illustrates the company’s dedication to continuous improvement. Notably, next year will mark 20 years since the last F-generation machine was produced, further demonstrating Proseal’s commitment to innovation.
Bakkavor operates an extensive fleet of over 100 inline Proseal tray sealing machines, predominantly utilizing the GT1 and GT1s models. Their diverse lineup spans from the compact GT0 to the robust GT6, providing versatility essential for their production processes. This partnership with Bakkavor, which has flourished for over two decades, has been instrumental in fostering growth and innovation in the food manufacturing industry.
“We are thrilled to receive Proseal’s 8000th machine. This upgrade represents a significant step forward for our production capabilities, enhancing our efficiency and sustainability efforts,” remarks Richard Flatters, UK services manager at Bakkavor – operational finance. “Proseal has been a trusted partner in our journey since the beginning, and we look forward to leveraging the advanced features of the GTs machine to deliver even better products to our customers.”
Furthermore, Proseal encourages the adoption of trade-in programs, enabling customers to replace older models with newer, more efficient machines. This initiative not only enhances productivity but also promotes sustainability through responsible recycling and reduced resource consumption in the food manufacturing landscape.
“I have personally worked with Bakkavor for over 12 years,” states Daryl Henshaw, key accounts manager at Proseal UK. He started as their maintenance contract engineer for the London region and progressed to become their senior account manager. “During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of Bakkavor colleagues across all different levels of the business from line leaders and maintenance engineers to site directors and group procurement leads.”
