The recent appointment of Nigel Williams as the new head of finance for Boparan Holdings comes on the heels of the departure of Craig Tomkinson, the current group CFO. Tomkinson has spent over a decade with the company and has decided to step down from his role. Williams joins Boparan Holdings from Collins Foods in Brisbane, Australia, where he also held the position of CFO for almost nine years. Prior to this role, he spent over nine years in various financial positions with Starbucks, the high street coffee chain.

Tomkinson expressed his thoughts on his time with Boparan, stating, “I believe now’s the right moment for a career break. I will take on fresh challenges after a period of recharging my batteries with my family. I have had an incredible journey at 2 Sisters and I’m proud to have played a role in transforming the company.”

Richard Pennycook, the executive chairman, highlighted Tomkinson’s contributions, stating, “On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Craig for his significant contribution over the years.” Pennycook also welcomed Williams to the Board, emphasizing his impressive track record in financial leadership roles.

Williams will undergo a full induction this month and officially take over Tomkinson’s responsibilities at the start of April. Tomkinson, on the other hand, will focus on key projects from April until his departure from the business in July.

In the midst of these changes, the food and drink industry is seeing a number of new appointments. Food Manufacture details the latest appointments in the industry, keeping readers informed about developments in the sector.
