The London-based brand specializes in a diverse array of kefir and natural gut health products, an industry segment where Müller currently has no presence.
Founded in 2012 by Natasha Bowes, Biotiful Gut Health will maintain its operational structure while Bowes works in an advisory role alongside Müller Yogurts & Desserts CEO Richard Williams during the transition phase.
Williams commented on the acquisition, stating, “Biotiful Gut Health is a business we have long admired: it is one of the fastest growing brands in the sector, has great tasting products and a real focus on consumer and innovation.”
“This business fits seamlessly within our existing brand portfolio. We are already focused on expanding and optimizing our range of health and nutrition products, and Biotiful Gut Health will significantly assist us in tapping into emerging growth areas that align with evolving consumer preferences.”
“We are confident that our investment in Biotiful will further accelerate the brand’s growth potential, benefitting both consumers and our retail partners.”
In response, Bowes expressed being “humbly proud” of Biotiful Gut Health’s influence on the functional health space in the UK, highlighting its role in bringing naturally healthy products to the “forefront” of the yoghurt category.
“Since founding the company 13 years ago, our unwavering commitment to best-in-class innovation and quality has propelled Biotiful to new heights, establishing it as a successful consumer-centric brand,” she remarked.
“I am particularly excited about how this acquisition by Müller can amplify and speed up our growth trajectory, leveraging their extensive resources and ambition to elevate natural gut health into a new era.”
