Atlas Copco recently unveiled its innovative Beer Foam Separator (BFS 900), tailored to meet the needs of the food manufacturing industry. This cutting-edge solution promises enhanced protection, cleaner processes, and considerable cost savings.
Designed to complement its industry-leading GHS VSD+ screw vacuum pump, the Beer Foam Separator aims to boost energy efficiency, minimize lifecycle expenses, and reduce the rejection rate of improperly filled bottles. By addressing the issue of excess foam production that disrupts beer filling operations, this innovative product is a game-changer for breweries.
The Beer Foam Separator, developed in collaboration with key brewery partners, effectively tackles the foam problem with its intelligent features and user-friendly design. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, this solution features an auto-draining tank and a logic control system for seamless operation.
“Not only do we offer products, but comprehensive solutions. Our new Beer Foam Separator exemplifies this principle,” explained Pamela Cateland, Atlas Copco Vacuum’s marketing manager for the western region. By enhancing quality, shelf life, and customer satisfaction, this new technology instills trust and reliability among consumers.
The BFS 900 boasts a host of features, including a calming section with a large diameter for foam settling and an automatic separation process that ensures continuous operation. Additionally, its clean-in-place (CIP) capability, facilitated by a shower ball mechanism, maintains adherence to stringent hygienic standards.
Alesandro Villa, Atlas Copco’s applications manager, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing industry-specific concerns. “By leveraging our innovative capabilities and application expertise, we aim to enhance operational efficiency in the food manufacturing sector,” he stated. The meticulous development of the Beer Foam Separator underscores Atlas Copco’s dedication to delivering solutions that not only protect equipment but also drive energy efficiency and cost savings for customers.
