The opening of the Slough factory marks an important milestone, occurring just under two years after Around Noon expanded its London operations with the acquisition of The Soho Sandwich Company and its production facility in North London.
Originally announced in August 2023, this new 30,000 sq ft factory represents the group’s fifth manufacturing facility in the UK and Ireland, as well as its second location in the South East of England.
Sustainable Initiatives
Around Noon has integrated several green features into the new facility to enhance sustainability. These include photovoltaic panels on the roof, which supply electricity to the premises, with surplus energy fed back into the network grid. Furthermore, energy-efficient LED lighting has been installed throughout, along with SMART meters to improve operational efficiency.

Food Solutions on the Go
Around Noon specializes in producing chilled, hot, and frozen food-to-go, offering a diverse range of products that includes sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items, hot deli options, snack pots, bakery goods, and natural fruit juices.
The company supplies over 4.4 million products each month to retailers as well as the foodservice sector, education, healthcare, and various industries. Last year, the business achieved a notable 21% increase in net sales.
With the new factory’s opening, Around Noon will enhance its total workforce to 1,000 employees, with 300 located in Slough.
In a related development, craft baker Artisan Bakes is relocating to a new production facility in Wakefield to support its ongoing expansion and better serve its customers.
