Pret A Manger Announces Ross Warnes, Area Vice President of Kraft Heinz, is Joining the Team Food and Beverage Business

Ross Warnes is set to lead Pret A Manger’s extensive network of over 500 shops in the UK and Ireland. His responsibilities will encompass growing market share, boosting transaction volumes, and delivering enhanced value to customers. This appointment aligns with the broader food and drink industry innovation trends.

With an impressive background in the food and beverage sector, Warnes has honed his expertise at notable organizations including Unilever, Nestlé UK, and Kraft Heinz. His insights are particularly valuable in the context of evolving food distribution trends and food processing technology.

He joins Pret from Kraft Heinz, where he held multiple senior positions, such as area vice president overseeing its largest business unit in the US, alongside serving as VP of sales for Northern Europe and UK & Ireland sales director. His experience aligns well with the ongoing food manufacturing trends.

This strategic appointment comes as Pret intensifies its commitment to food and drink sustainability and innovation following the successful launch of ‘Super Plates.’ These premium, high-protein salads are already increasing customer visits while focusing on value, reflecting consumer trends in health-conscious eating.

Pano Christou, CEO of Pret A Manger, stated: “I’m excited to welcome Ross to the Pret team overseeing UK & Ireland. Ross has great experience in growing food brands and leading high-performing teams. His leadership will be instrumental as we focus on growing our UK market share, driving transactions and delivering more value to our customers.”

Warnes also mentioned: “I grew up with Pret and have always cherished its freshly made food, organic coffee, and friendly service. It’s been amazing to see it evolve over the years, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of its exciting future. I’m looking forward to joining the team and taking the Pret brand to new places across the UK and Ireland.”
