Tracy Southwell will join the co-manufacturer and co-packer on 18 August, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
Her previous roles include positions at Florette, Barry Callebaut, New York Bakery, and Unilever. Most recently, she spent three years as the managing director of Hobart Equipment Division.
This appointment occurs as current managing director Stephen Dor steps down after nearly 17 years with the firm, including 11 years in the top role.
Commenting on the news, Southwell expressed her delight in joining March Foods during “such an exciting period in its journey.”
“With strong foundations, a talented team, and trusted customer relationships already in place, my focus will be on accelerating innovation, fostering growth, and maintaining the company culture that embodies the trust, flexibility, and dedication our partners associate with March Foods,” she added.
“Leading with purpose and having a strong customer focus are at the heart of our current and future success.”
Ricky Flax, CEO of March Foods’ parent company Delightful Food Group, shared his enthusiasm for welcoming Southwell to the team.
“Her leadership skills and forward-thinking approach make Tracy the ideal person to lead March Foods into its next exciting stage,” Flax stated.
“Tracy’s extensive factory experience, ranging from Florette and Barry Callebaut to Hobart, provides her with unmatched insight into food production. Her passion for sustainability, innovation, talent development, and customer-first thinking is precisely what we need to future-proof our business.”
“I would also like to thank our outgoing MD Stephen Dor for his dedicated service to March Foods. Under his leadership, the business established a resilient operational framework and a reputation for excellence. His contributions have strategically positioned us for ongoing success, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
