JJ Foodservice has recently launched kiosks that enable in-store customers to access exclusive online deals for the first time. Previously, these advantages were limited to customers who ordered online for collection.

Now available nationwide, these kiosks allow walk-in customers to experience “faster service and better prices at the touch of a screen.” Impressively, within just the first month of operation, the kiosks processed over £575,000 worth of orders.

“The best way to save at JJ was to order online in advance – but that meant counter customers were missing out,” said Kaan Hendekli, Chief Operating Officer at JJ Foodservice.

“Now, they can enjoy the same savings in-branch, with our quick, easy-to-use kiosks.” This seamless integration offers a more inclusive experience for all customers.

Hendekli noted that the response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive thus far.

“The kiosks are making shopping even easier – saving customers time, reducing costs, and improving convenience nationwide,” he added.

JJ Foodservice provides services to over 100,000 registered customers, including restaurants, pubs, takeaways, schools, hotels, local authorities, and households. Recently, the company reported after-tax profits of £11.2 million for the year ending 31 March 2024.

However, revenue has declined, from just over £270 million the previous year to £249.6 million in 2023/24.

In related developments, Iceland Foods has opened a new 500,000 square foot distribution centre in Warrington.

This £100 million facility, developed in collaboration with GXO Logistics, is set to employ over 750 people. Notably, this site stands as Iceland’s largest warehouse to date and will service more than 350 stores, with potential expansion plans to reach 500 locations in the future.
