With the UK food and beverage sector experiencing an extraordinary rise in demand for lavish cold drinks, Galbani Professionale has proclaimed Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the first National Tiramisu Latte Day.

This nationwide initiative aims to promote the emerging beverage style, positioning it as a lucrative and feasible addition to menus for coffee-centric establishments. The surge in beverage choices reflects a dynamic shift in how contemporary specialty coffee is perceived; it is evolving beyond the classic morning energizer to encompass visually appealing, layered creations.

The Tiramisu Latte embodies this unique presentation with its combination of bold espresso, smooth liquid milk, and a rich, creamy topping, artfully dusted with cocoa powder.

Responding to Gen Z’s Dessert-Drink Trend

This campaign is a direct response to changing demographic trends and purchasing motivations among consumers. Recent research has revealed two significant shifts that are reshaping the café landscape in the UK:

  • 74% of Gen Z individuals now actively choose iced coffee varieties over traditional hot options.
  • 68% of consumers perceive specialty iced coffee primarily as “desserts or treats,” rather than merely a caffeine source.

By harmonizing the morning coffee experience with a luxurious dessert offering, the Tiramisu Latte presents a compelling opportunity for operators to enhance customer spending during typically quieter afternoon hours.

Strategic Partnerships in the Retail Space

To mark this occasion, Galbani Professionale is forging a key partnership with Nonna Bakery located in High Holborn, London. On July 9, the bakery will introduce two exclusive, high-quality versions of the drink specifically tailored for fast-paced café operations: the Classic Iced Tiramisu Latte and the Pistachio Iced Tiramisu Latte.

Both variations prominently feature Galbani Mascarpone as the key ingredient, guaranteeing the authentic smoothness of an Italian tiramisu while ensuring easy dispensing during busy service periods.

Matteo Cicero, the founder of Nonna Bakery, shared insights on the operational advantages of this collaboration: “Dessert-inspired iced drinks are exactly what our customers want right now. Using Galbani Mascarpone has enabled us to create two iced variations that feel indulgent while still being operationally feasible. Our partnership demonstrates that premium beverages can command higher prices and yield very strong margins for operators.”

In addition to Nonna Bakery, Galbani has also teamed up with three other notable coffee establishments in London—Être, Artful Blend, and Oati—each planning to unveil their own unique creations for this nationwide celebration.

Introducing the Tiramisu Latte Toolkit

To assist independent operators nationwide, Galbani Professionale has crafted a comprehensive Tiramisu Latte Toolkit. This resource is specifically designed to allow cafés to effortlessly introduce, market, and serve a tiramisu-style drink without disrupting service speed, ensuring reliable execution without the need for advanced barista skills.

Héloïse Le Norcy-Trott, group marketing and category director at Lactalis UK & Ireland, elaborated on the strategic goals behind this initiative: “The coffee menu landscape is increasingly competitive, and operators are facing more pressure to innovate drink specials while upholding service speed and consistency. National Tiramisu Latte Day is about highlighting a beverage format that is contemporary, indulgent, and—importantly—efficient within a bustling café setting.”
