First speaker announcement reveals exciting future of packaging at Packaging Innovations Food and Beverage Business

Get ready for Packaging Innovations & Empack, Featuring Contract Pack & Fulfilment, the must-attend event for the packaging industry in 2023. Mark your calendars for February 15 & 16 at Birmingham NEC, where you’ll hear from a stellar lineup of expert speakers. This two-day event will cover a wide range of topics, bringing together leaders in packaging from both present and future.

The first batch of speakers includes influential names from all corners of the packaging industry. They will discuss supply chain processes, future machinery solutions, and contract packing & fulfilment services panel discussions. Additionally, experts in sustainable solutions will share their insights. Some notable speakers include Martin Kersh, Executive Director of the FPA; Paul Jenkins, founder of ThePackHub; and Jude Allan, Chair of the IOM3 Packaging Group.

Renan Joel, Managing Director, Packaging Division at event organiser Easyfairs, expressed excitement about this year’s lineup. He highlighted that Packaging Innovations is not just about packaging but also focuses on the future of retail, brands, and the entire supply chain. The event aims to provide solutions for every step of the packaging journey, from concept to fulfilment.

Packaging Innovations & Empack, Featuring Contract Pack & Fulfilment comprises three stages: Design & Innovation, Circular Economy, and Supply Chain. These stages will cover a diverse range of topics, including a keynote speech from Mark Van Iterson, Global Director Design & Sustainability at Heineken, and a talk on Circular Economy by George Cole, Director of Resource Futures. Attendees will also hear a headline speech from Jo Fairley, co-founder of chocolate brand Green & Black’s.

Other notable speakers include George Thompson, Robotic Systems Sales Manager at Güdel and Chairman of BARA; Steve Honour, Design Leader at Diageo; and Jane Bevis, Executive Chair of OPRL. They will participate in an engaging panel discussion titled ‘The Big Responsibility Debate’, which will explore the challenges of EPR & DRS. The discussion will be split into two parts, offering valuable insights into the future of packaging.
