Our Home, the US-based snack brand known for the Popchips brand, has recently acquired Sonoma Creamery, a local cheese snack business. This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Our Home, allowing them to offer more innovative and health-conscious products to their better-for-you-driven customers.
According to a statement from the New Jersey-headquartered company, this move will increase their platform and footprint across the country. Our Home CEO Aaron Greenwald emphasized that the acquisition of Sonoma Creamery strengthens their position as a leading independent better-for-you snacking platform. He highlighted Sonoma’s 90-plus year history in the cheese business and their reputation for delivering the best tasting and most premium cheese snacks on the market.
As part of the deal, Our Home has acquired Sonoma Creamery’s production facility and warehouse in Sonoma, California. This acquisition further expands their presence in the cheese snack category, complementing their existing offerings.
In addition to the Sonoma Creamery acquisition, Our Home now operates eight manufacturing facilities across the US. Sonoma Creamery, founded in 1931, is known for its baked cheese snack line, which includes a variety of cheese crisps in different flavors.
Earlier this year, Utz Brands, another US-based company, sold two brands and two factories to Our Home for $182.5 million. This deal included the Good Health and RW Garcia brands, along with factories in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Our Home also took on the lease for a manufacturing facility in Las Vegas as part of the transaction.
Recently, Utz Brands sold two more manufacturing plants to Our Home, adding facilities in Berlin, Pennsylvania, and Fitchburg, Massachusetts, along with certain related assets.
