In the latest development in the food and beverage industry trends, Amylu Foods, a leading player specializing in chicken sausages, has successfully acquired Klement’s Sausage Company, a local sausage manufacturer.
Established in Chicago in 1992 by Amylu Kurzawski, Amylu Foods has set a benchmark by offering chicken sausages that are free from antibiotics, nitrates, or nitrites, catering to the evolving food and drink consumer trends.
With the acquisition of Klement’s Sausage Company from Altamont Capital Partners, Amylu Foods is poised to expand its product range into new categories and boost its production capabilities, aligning with the prevailing food and drink business landscape.
The acquisition also entails the transfer of around 300 employees, manufacturing facilities, and brands from Klement’s to Amylu Foods, paving the way for a seamless transition and enhanced operational capabilities.
Amylu Foods aims to leverage this strategic move not only to diversify its offerings but also to leverage the strengths of both entities to offer an extended range of premium meat products to its discerning customers in the food industry.
Steven Zoll, the chairman and CEO of Amylu Foods, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing the growth potential it holds for the company. He stated, “The addition of Klement’s Sausage Company to the Amylu Foods family marks a significant step in our growth strategy.”
Jeff Baker, president of Klement’s Sausage Company, echoed these sentiments, stating, “We are delighted to unite with the dynamic Amylu Foods family. This strategic combination promises exciting prospects for both brands, empowering us to extend the reach of our cherished Wisconsin flavors to an even wider audience.”
