The Leicestershire-based company, which operates in the food and beverage industry, also announced that Deborah Ewan, the outgoing CEO, will transition into a new role as a non-executive director after six years of leadership.
Following a review of its business strategy and a five-year plan to drive sales growth, Pukka was reported to be seeking new investments in March.
Isaac Fisher, who has been the MD of the family-owned pie brand for the past four years, brings nearly two decades of industry experience to his new role. He previously worked with Samworth Brothers in Leicestershire before joining Pukka in 2013.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new position, Fisher stated, “I look forward to leading our highly talented team as we continue to innovate in the savoury pastry segment, emphasizing full-on flavor and excitement while maintaining our unique Pukka culture.”
Departing CEO Ewan assumed leadership at Pukka in 2017, leveraging over 25 years of experience in food and non-food manufacturing, including roles at 2 Sisters Food Group and Bernard Matthews.
Recent financial reports revealed a positive trajectory for Pukka, with a turnover of £79.1m ($100.6m) for the 12 months ending on 27 May 2023, up from £64.5m the previous year. Pre-tax profits also saw a notable increase.
