Grupo Lala appoints former Danone executive as new CEO Grupo Lala Food and Beverage Business

Mexican dairy major Grupo Lala is set to name Francisco Camacho Beltran as its new CEO, taking over from Arquímedes Adriano Célis Ordaz starting May 1st. Célis Ordaz, who had been in the role since 2019 after replacing Mauricio Leyva as interim CEO, will continue to be associated with Grupo Lala by retaining a position on the company’s board.

Camacho Beltran brings with him 30 years of experience in the consumer products sector, with previous roles at companies such as Danone, FEMSA, Revlon, and Procter & Gamble.

In 2023, Lala reported annual revenue of 98.99bn pesos ($5.91bn), marking a 5.6% increase compared to the previous year. Net profit also saw a substantial rise of 90.7% to 2.79bn pesos.

Lala’s product portfolio includes various food and beverage items like milks, flavoured milk RTDs, fruit juices, yogurts, pudding desserts, butters, and sliced meats. The company also holds distribution licenses for Nestlé’s Svelty, Chamyto, and Gastro Protect, as well as Blue Diamond’s Almond Breeze in Mexico.

Operating in Mexico with 141 distribution centers and 16 factories, Lala also has a presence in the US with two factories and Brazil with nine production sites and 22 distribution centers.
