Tesco’s new functional drinks bays are putting CBD drinks at the forefront of the wellness industry. “Goodrays” will be the exclusive CBD drinks brand stocked on Tesco’s newly announced Functional Drinks bays, set to roll out through March 2024 in 179 stores.
Developed by CBD industry expert Eoin Keenan and ex-Diageo taste developers, Goodrays CBD drinks aim to provide consumers with ‘a deep breath for your brain.’ Three SKUS will be available at Tesco on the new Functional Drinks Bays: 4x250ml packs of Raspberry & Guava, Elderflower & Yuzu, and Blood Orange & Grapefruit, priced at £7.50 for a 4-pack.
Research indicates that to experience the full benefits of CBD, such as reduced anxiety, improved sleep, and less muscle and joint pain, consumers need at least 25mg of CBD. Goodrays offers a market-leading ‘dose’ of 30mg premium CBD, along with a daily dose of Vitamin D, no added sugars, all-natural ingredients, and a fully recyclable, plastic-free product. Goodrays aims to shape the future of wellness drinks with their commitment to quality and affordability.
As the sole CBD drinks brand offered, Goodrays plans to enhance the listing with PR support, in-store education, and ongoing marketing efforts throughout the partnership. Eoin Keenan, the founder of Goodrays, states that the brand is dedicated to designing and delivering innovative and accessible CBD products for those seeking to enhance their mental wellbeing.
“Our drinks provide the most cost-effective way to access CBD in the market, and Tesco shares our vision of making CBD more affordable and accessible to all,” Keenan notes. “We are thrilled to be part of Tesco’s new strategic direction and anticipate more retailers to follow suit as wellness emerges as a dominant trend in the beverage industry.”
