The Coca-Cola Company has announced its intention to construct a new production facility for Fairlife in New York with a planned investment of $650 million. This move is expected to create up to 250 new jobs and increase the company’s manufacturing capacity.

Governor Kathy Hochul made the announcement, highlighting the economic impact this investment will have on the state’s agricultural industry. The 745,000 square-foot facility will be built in Monroe County and will be the largest dairy processing plant in the Northeast.

Fairlife products are known for their innovative ultrafiltration process that results in a higher protein and calcium content. The CEO of Fairlife, Tim Doelman, praised the decision for enabling the company to meet the growing demand for its products. Consumer demand has surged recently, and this new facility will help accommodate this demand.

As Fairlife is already a strategic partner of Coca-Cola, this investment will only strengthen the relationship between the two companies. Coca-Cola plans to start construction in the autumn, subject to approval and final diligence. The facility is scheduled to be operational by Q4 of 2025.

In conclusion, this investment presents an excellent opportunity for both Fairlife and New York State. With the region’s competitive business environment, innovative technology and access to premium dairy suppliers, this move is likely to have a major economic impact in the coming years.
