Thatchers Introduces Apple and Blackcurrant Flavors to Cider Collection

Food and Drink Technology

Thatchers Cider announces the launch of a new addition to their product range – Apple and Blackcurrant flavor. This latest offering is a rich and refreshing fruity cider made with the sweetest dessert apples, boasting a fresh berry aroma and bold natural blackcurrant flavor. Crafted with an ABV of 4%, this new cider is available in 440ml and 330ml can packs, as well as single 500ml glass bottles.

In addition to the popular Blood Orange, Cloudy Lemon, and Rosé flavors, Thatchers Apple and Blackcurrant joins the award-winning range along with Gold, Haze, Vintage, and Katy. All of these products are expertly crafted at Myrtle Farm in Somerset by Thatchers’ fourth-generation cider-making family.

Commenting on the new offering, fourth-generation cider maker Martin Thatcher notes, “We are aware that the flavor style is sought after by British cider lovers. So we’ve worked hard to give it a Thatchers twist that will help it stand out.”

Thatchers Apple and Blackcurrant is currently available in selected Tesco, Budgens, Londis, and Premier stores across the UK, as well as online, with further stockists set to be added early next year. The cider is made with dessert apples including Fuji and Gala, combined with natural blackcurrant flavor to deliver a rich and fruity character, showcasing the provenance and refreshing quality that drinkers love from Thatchers.

Prices for Thatchers Apple and Blackcurrant cider are set at £5.89 for a 4x440ml can pack, £2.25 for a 500ml glass bottle, and £12.00 for a pack of 10x330ml cans. Customers can look forward to enjoying this new flavor at an affordable price point.
