MAISON COURVOISIER COLLABORATES WITH CLYM EVERNDEN TO CREATE EXCLUSIVE LIMITED-EDITION BOTTLE TO CELEBRATE 175TH ANNIVERSARY OF HARRODS Courvoisier Food and Beverage Business COURVOISIER

The Most Awarded Cognac House* has teamed up with renowned, London artist Clym Evernden to create a special design Courvoisier Extra in collaboration with the world’s leading luxury department store

Maison Courvoisier, the Most Awarded Cognac House, is delighted to announce a special design of Courvoisier Extra. Launching on the 1st July, in celebration of the 175th anniversary of Harrods, the world’s leading luxury department store, located in London, England.

Maison Courvoisier will globally debut the Prestige Expression, Extra, in 2024, with Harrods serving as the sole retailer in the UK for this product, in conjunction with their 175th-anniversary celebration.

To commemorate this significant occasion, Courvoisier has teamed up with Clym Evernden, a British award-winning artist and art director with a unique creative eye, to design a limited-edition Extra bottle exclusively offered at Harrods. Evernden applied his signature ink-based style to create this special rendition of Courvoisier’s Extra expression.

Evernden’s design for the Harrods edition is a visual journey from Jarnac to London. It depicts The Maison in Jarnac alongside the iconic façade of the Knightsbridge department store. The landscape of the cognac region, including the rolling vineyards, ageing casks and the Charente River, finishes the design.

Sarah Isaac, Head of Suntory Global Spirit Brands, Edrington UK says: “The partnership with Clym Evernden was originally born out of an attraction to his style of illustration. The light, bright, joyful artistry is in keeping with the world we have for Courvoisier. He has magnificently brought to life the partnership of Courvoisier and Harrods – a homage to our shared values of celebrating the finest things in life, crafted with mastery, artistry and creative flair, with an unparalleled commitment to excellence.”

The deep, intense taste of Courvoisier Extra is enhanced through exotic, tart and sharp flavors. It pairs well with exotic fruit or tangy dishes, as well as lightly acidic or sour pairings like apples or pears.

Maison Courvoisier’s Chief Blender, Thibaut Hontanx, says: “Throughout the past 175 years, Harrods has been committed to celebrating the world’s finest, with unparalleled variety, ultimate exclusivity, unique experiences and unsurpassed service. We are delighted to partner with Harrods to launch this very special edition of Extra in the UK.”

The design philosophy for the Prestige Collection, including Extra, L’Essence XO and XO Royal, is centred on the presence of humanity and craftsmanship. Each illustration beautifully brings to life the taste, aromas and stories behind these cognacs in a visual style that feels human and full of life.

André Lewis, Head of Buying for Food, Wine & Spirits comments: “We are thrilled to collaborate  with Maison Courvoisier and Clym Evernden in commemorating Harrods’ 175th anniversary with this exclusive limited-edition bottle. As the world’s leading luxury department store, Harrods has always been committed to curating the finest and most exclusive offerings for our discerning clientele. This exquisite design beautifully encapsulates the essence of craftsmanship and celebrates our shared values of excellence and creativity. We are delighted to offer this special edition Courvoisier Extra to our customers, providing them with a unique and memorable experience in celebration of this milestone occasion.”

The release will be limited to 175 bottles, retailed at £450, and will be exclusively offered at Harrods UK, both in-store and online, starting July 1st, 2024. For more information, please visit Courvoisier.com
