At the London Transport Museum, invited guests witnessed Carl Hunter, automated retail and new business controller, foods division at Kepak, deliver a presentation on unveiling the new Hot Vend Kiosk. The machine, slated for launch into the OOH channel this month, will exclusively dispense one of Kepak’s Cook-in-Box range burgers within 80 seconds of the user making their choice. With a capacity to hold up to 52 of Kepak’s Cook-In-Box range, which includes Cheese Melt, Breakfast Muffin, and Peri Peri Chicken burgers, the machine aims to be situated in travel hubs and forecourts across the country later this year and into 2024.
On the successful launch evening and bringing the Hot Vend Kiosk to the UK first, Kepak’s, Carl Hunter said: “We couldn’t think of a more ideal place to launch this latest Kepak technology than being surrounded by transport from the past that operated 24/7.”
The new Hot Vend Kiosk offers “an easy, fuss-free way to enjoy hot food on the go 24/7”, with touch screen pay and go and quick dispense technology. It anticipates an increased focus on workplace and vending solutions, as demand has already seen a phenomenal increase of 61% this year, highlighting the transition to low-cost grab-and-go options while eating out of home.
