This year’s School Essentials Grant has seen a significant increase, with a total of £888,900 awarded to families in need. This represents a remarkable 36% rise compared to last year.

Eligible parents were provided with £150 per school-aged child, up to a maximum of three children per household.

Mandi Leonard, the welfare director at GroceryAid, expressed her delight, stating that “This year’s School Essentials Grant has been the largest fund awarded since its launch four years ago. We are thrilled to be able to offer assistance to a greater number of families during such challenging times.”

Furthermore, GroceryAid continues to provide support to colleagues facing financial difficulties. Employees who have been working in the grocery industry for a minimum of six months and meet the eligibility criteria can apply for a GroceryAid Cost of Living Grant. This grant aims to address the cost-of-living challenges faced by individuals in the grocery sector.
