Central Foods, a leading frozen food distributor, has unveiled a new vegan and gluten-free sausage, expanding its free-from range tailored for the food service sector.
Introducing the KaterVeg! vegan and gluten-free VG sausage—crafted from the same popular recipe as the KaterVeg! vegan meatballs. This item ranks among Central Foods’ best-selling products.
Composed primarily of soya, the KaterVeg! VG sausage serves as a protein source, boasting high fibre content and low sugar levels. It is expertly designed to accommodate both vegan and gluten-free diners.
Gordon Lauder, managing director of Central Foods, remarked: “Our KaterVeg! vegan meatballs are a great product and very popular so we decided to use the same recipe to create the VG sausage.”
He added, “It’s moist, juicy and really tasty and is a super addition to our plant-based sausage and burger range. This new product will provide our food service customers with a delicious option that is suitable for both vegans and gluten-free diners.”
Each sausage weighs 50g, and KaterVeg! VG sausages are conveniently supplied frozen in packs of 40.
