Nisa is dedicated to providing financial packages and credit terms that meet the needs of retailers. We offer a minimum credit term of 14 days to ensure flexibility and convenience.

When it comes to the length of the contract, Nisa does not impose a minimum requirement. However, retailers who wish to leave the group must give at least six months’ notice, allowing for a smooth transition.

To ensure proximity and exclusivity, Nisa has a trading area agreement in place with its retailers. This agreement allows for fascia trading within a drive time of our store. In areas with higher population density, the proximity zones may be adjusted accordingly.

To maintain efficient operations, Nisa requires retailers to be able to handle a minimum weekly case drop of 100 chilled/frozen products (with a minimum of 30 cases per order) and 300 ambient products. Nisa provides a reliable six-day-a-week delivery service, delivering goods directly to the store.

Ordering goods from Nisa is made convenient through our web-based multi-channel ordering system. This system allows for orders to be placed 24 hours a day using EPoS or direct internet access. Additionally, our OCS mobile app enables retailers to carry out tasks such as ordering, price checks, and delivery tracking from anywhere.

Partnering with Co-op, Nisa offers an extensive range of own-label lines, with 2,400 products available and representing over 80% of the range across various categories.

To ensure the freshness of produce and the availability of chilled and frozen foods, Nisa provides a tri-temperature, six-day-a-week delivery service.

Nisa encourages retailers to embrace new technology packages, with over 500 stores currently utilizing our in-house EPoS system and over 400 utilizing the latest Epositive Evolution system. In February 2022, we launched a special offer, providing a two-lane system comprising tills, a back-office PC, and installation free of charge for retailers converting from other EPoS providers or upgrading/renewing their existing Nisa EPoS.

Investing in consumer advertising is a key priority for Nisa. We heavily invest in promoting our offers through various channels, including bespoke offer leaflets, regular adverts in national tabloid newspapers, social media, and online platforms. Additionally, Nisa has partnered with Talksport radio’s breakfast show, allowing us to reach a wider audience during major events such as the World Cup.

Nisa regularly updates its promotional calendar, offering a variety of promotions that change every three weeks. These promotions are aligned with Co-op and include enticing deals such as lunch meal deals, £6 freezer deals, and Big Deals.

Understanding the importance of effective category management, Nisa introduced a four-tier planogram subscription service in February 2023. This service leverages data, insights, and customer purchasing behaviors to drive sales and optimize product offerings.

To support retailers in mitigating the impact of inflation, Nisa has invested £6 million into the wholesale price of over 1,000 branded products. This investment followed a previous £5 million price reduction initiative in September 2022, which included over 1,000 price reductions for Nisa retailers. Among these reductions, 330 Co-op lines were assigned under the “core essentials” umbrella, providing value for shoppers and good margins for independent retailers. Our commitment to securing the best products and prices continues as we strive to help our retailers grow their businesses in 2023.

Joining Nisa offers independent retailers numerous advantages. We truly understand the entrepreneurial spirit and the need to stand out in a competitive market. Nisa provides tailored support from retail experts, valuable insights, and a wide range of quality products. With Nisa, retailers have the opportunity to create the best customer offer in their local area.
