Coperion K-Tron has introduced the K-Vision-III, a redesigned control and process visualisation platform for feeder lines. The system is built to accelerate data processing, simplify connectivity, and improve the management of complete feeder operations.

Based on an advanced hardware platform and updated software architecture, K-Vision-III provides centralised control for as many as 24 individual KCM feeder control modules operating on one process line. This capability supports the connected production environments driving current food manufacturing trends and advances in food processing technology.

Operators can monitor performance through a larger, high-resolution touchscreen. The interface delivers real-time process data, trend analysis, system setup tools, and live adjustment functions, helping production teams respond quickly while maintaining consistent output. These capabilities can support wider food and beverage industry trends, including greater automation, improved traceability, and more data-led decision-making.

Key operational improvements

Intelligent recipe management: The platform simplifies production setup by managing material configurations, recipe ratios, staged start-up and shutdown procedures, and ingredient priorities. Automated calculations reduce the need for manual input while supporting accurate, repeatable process control.

Streamlined plant connectivity: K-Vision-III acts as a central communications gateway between plant DCS or PLC systems and multiple feeders. It supports widely used Ethernet-based industrial protocols, including Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet. This connectivity aligns with ongoing food distribution trends and food and drink industry innovation by helping manufacturers build more integrated operations.

As food and drink sustainability, food and drink regulations, food and drink packaging, food and drink marketing, and food and drink consumer trends continue to influence production strategies, connected control platforms such as K-Vision-III can provide the visibility and operational consistency required across modern manufacturing environments.
