The flagship release, meticulously crafted for collectors and enthusiasts, made its debut at the Miami Grand Prix. This innovative product encapsulates the intersection of prestige and performance within the food and drink sustainability sector.

In collaboration with brand owner Brown-Forman and McLaren, Halo MK1 transforms the unique geometry of the Halo cockpit protection system into a display structure that epitomizes the discipline inherent in motorsport engineering. This design reflects current consumer trends, particularly in sustainable packaging solutions.

First introduced to Formula 1 in 2018, the Halo device serves as the conceptual foundation of a design defined by protection, balance, and structural clarity—elements increasingly relevant in food and drink marketing.

The Halo MK1 Limited Edition reinterprets this architectural vision through a carbon fibre-textured display system adorned with signature McLaren Papaya orange accents. It is specifically engineered to suspend a 1-litre bottle at its center of mass through a meticulously balanced structural arrangement, demonstrating a commitment to innovative food and drink packaging.

As a result, this sophisticated mechanical presentation system unifies form and function in a seamless, integrated outcome, setting new standards in the industry.

At the heart of the structure lies a concealed push-button mechanism, elegantly integrated beneath the McLaren branding. A single press releases the bottle from its cradle with precision and ease, while discreet acoustic dampening enhances the action, showcasing engineering precision and exceptional quality—core principles in sustainable packaging.

The packaging comprises over 50 custom components developed across eight distinct material systems, manufactured through eight varied processes. These include CNC-machined aluminium structural elements, die-cast aluminium subframes, injection-moulded high-performance polymers, rapid prototyping validation stages using FDM and SLA, carbon fibre effect surface detailing, Alcantara-inspired linings, and electrophoretic coatings for a unified matte aluminium finish.

Paul Hamilton, head of sales & marketing at Hunter Luxury, stated: “This pack was designed to surprise and perform, from the first 2D concept to the final release mechanism. It had to capture the energy and theatre of Formula 1 and the premium heritage of Jack Daniel’s without compromise.

“This is more than a presentation case. It’s a precision-built packaging solution that creates a moment reflecting the same care, ingenuity and control seen on the track. We believe it sets a new benchmark for theatrical secondary packaging, and we’re proud to have brought that vision to life at scale.”
