Frugalpac Receives King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation

The Frugal Bottle, made from 94% recycled paperboard, is known for having a carbon footprint 84% lower than glass bottles. Frugalpac aims to decarbonize the global drinks industry with this innovative solution.

The bottles are currently being utilized by brands in Aldi and Sainsbury’s supermarkets, as well as by 45 brands worldwide across 25 countries including the US, Canada, South Africa, and more.

Frugalpac’s CEO, Malcolm Waugh, expressed pride in the recognition of their pioneering work. He credits the achievement to the passionate team at Frugalpac who are dedicated to finding low carbon solutions for packaging. Collaborating with stakeholders globally, the company is establishing Frugal Bottle hubs worldwide to help reduce the carbon footprint of the wine and spirits industry.
