Peperami, the leading snack brand, has introduced a range of ready-to-eat Pizza Buns to its product portfolio to boost the demand for chilled meat snacks. The new addition is a result of the brand’s attempts to capitalize on the growing trend for high-protein, flavorsome meat snacks that can be enjoyed on-the-go or as a lunchtime snack.
To fill a gap in the market, Peperami has developed a completely unique range of mess-free Pizza Buns that are full of flavor and convenience. The new range is available at selected stores and is expected to be rolled out to other supermarkets soon.
“As this trend gathers momentum and consumers seek out more flavoursome meat snacks, the new Pizza Buns meet this demand by offering shoppers a high-protein and convenient snack,” the brand stated. Peperami’s head of marketing, Emily Prince, added that the new range “will significantly contribute to meat snacking’s category growth, as more and more shoppers seek out unique high-protein snacks that are really tasty, filling and fun to eat.”
The new Pizza Buns come in two great Peperami flavors – Original or Hot and are available in two sizes: singles (75g, RRP £1.50) and multipack (4 x 40g, RRP £2.75). Both options are packed in a case of eight units and have a five-month shelf life. They contain more than 10g of protein, making them a more filling snack that satisfies hunger for longer.
According to the brand, chilled meat snacks are one of the fastest-growing categories, with a value of over a quarter of a billion pounds, having grown by 10.8% in the last 12 months. Peperami remains the number one chilled meat snacking brand, becoming a £100 million brand and growing by over 80% in the last six years.
The new launch is an example of Peperami’s commitment to driven innovation, adding variety to its product portfolio, and contributing significantly to meat snacking’s category growth.
