The Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition in 2024 will feature a new area that highlights innovation from start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) focused on improving sustainability within the supply chain. This pioneering initiative will include a new ‘Start-up Hub’ in the centre of Hall 7 at the NEC, Birmingham, providing new and smaller businesses with the opportunity to showcase revolutionary solutions and services.

The ‘Start-up Hub’ will focus on pivotal sectors such as technology, finance, logistics, last-mile transport, and packaging – all crucial components of the supply chain ecosystem. Smaller businesses will have the chance to share the floor with major players in the supply chain and share their work with over 8,000 visitors.

In addition to sustainable delivery and materials, the ‘Start-up Hub’ will shine a light on new systems to improve traceability. This is particularly important as measuring and reporting scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions has increasingly become a priority for businesses. The chance for visitors to find out how the work of lesser-known companies could improve these processes will be invaluable.

The unveiling of this revolutionary start-up hub at the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition marks a significant milestone in championing sustainability within SMEs. The hub aims to provide a dedicated space for SMEs at the forefront of sustainable practices, fostering collaboration and innovation.

By showcasing and supporting these enterprises, the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition’s new ‘Start-up Hub’ is designed to catalyze positive change and propel the supply chain industry toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
