Suntory Beverage & Food Great Britain & Ireland (SBF GB&I), renowned for its iconic brands like Lucozade and Ribena, has engaged with Polytag to integrate advanced QR technology into its food and drink packaging. This strategic partnership unlocks new dimensions in supply chain management, consumer interaction, and market intelligence.

By using packaging as a responsive digital touchpoint, SBF GB&I gains exceptional visibility into product movements and consumer behavior, thereby enhancing its approach to food and drink sustainable packaging.

Polytag’s enterprise platform empowers SBF GB&I to produce, manage, and evaluate GS1-compliant QR codes at the barcode level via user-friendly dashboard tools. Each code opens up access to a vast array of features, including location-aware scanning insights, campaign scheduling tools, embedded videos, social media links, and custom web pages that craft cohesive brand experiences.

Alice Rackley, CEO of Polytag, stated: “Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I’s adoption of our platform demonstrates how enterprise brands are transforming packaging from static containers into intelligent assets.”

“The deep insights available through location-aware scanning, coupled with our campaign management tools, empower companies like SBF GB&I to react to market dynamics in real-time while cultivating direct relationships with consumers at each point of interaction.”

Keith Allen, Head of Commercialisation at Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I, remarked: “Polytag’s platform provides us with supply chain visibility, consumer engagement capabilities, and market intelligence—all through a single integration. The capacity to manage campaigns dynamically while gathering location data and consumer insights revolutionizes our understanding and service for our customers.”

Will Addy, Chief Commercial Officer of Polytag, noted: “Large organizations like SBF GB&I require technology that can handle complexity at scale—managing millions of unique codes, multiple concurrent campaigns, and synthesizing data across various markets.”

“Our comprehensive suite of tools, ranging from campaign scheduling to embedded content and real-time dashboards, is specifically designed to provide enterprise teams the control and insight necessary to implement sophisticated strategies without operational strain.”

The initial rollout targets select SBF GB&I beverages in the UK market, with plans for expansion driven by insights from scanning activities and consumer engagement data captured through Polytag’s analytics platform.
