SÜDPACK’s unwavering dedication to sustainability is exemplified by its impressive 2025 EcoVadis ranking. The film manufacturer has elevated its already robust results from prior years, achieving a remarkable score of 85 out of 100 points. This accomplishment places SÜDPACK among the top 5% of rated companies globally and awards it a prestigious Gold Medal.

Progressing from 59 to 63, then to 84 in 2024, and now reaching 85 points, the SÜDPACK Group’s EcoVadis performance highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility. As an innovative family-owned entity, SÜDPACK prioritizes sustainable procurement practices throughout its supply chain while also striving to set new benchmarks in food and drink sustainable packaging with its recyclable, material-efficient high-performance films and progressive packaging concepts.

This latest accolade reflects the specific sustainability goals established in the company’s “Sustainability Leadership” strategy. As outlined by the management team, “the measurable progress made represents an outstanding achievement by our entire workforce. At the same time, it serves as motivation to keep improving, to continually set new standards for environmental and social responsibility, and ultimately to create long-term value for all our stakeholders.”

Concrete progress at SÜDPACK

The esteemed sustainability ratings platform evaluated approximately 150,000 companies globally based on their environmental performance, labor and human rights practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement efforts.

In the 2025 ranking, SÜDPACK was again praised for its sophisticated sustainability management system. The company maintained outstanding scores in both the Environment (92 points) and Labor & Human Rights (84 points) categories. Notably, SÜDPACK made significant strides in the Ethics category, improving from 72 to 80 points. Supporting documentation showcases the extensive integration of ethics-related initiatives and certifications across the company. This includes conducting risk assessments for information security and expanding existing anti-corruption evaluations.

SÜDPACK also improved its Sustainable Procurement score by three points, reaching 80 compared to the previous year. Essential factors included comprehensive risk assessments designed to uncover potential sustainability impacts related to suppliers, products, and purchasing categories. Such assessments, backed by formal documentation, validate a systematic CSR risk analysis approach. The advantage is clear: by identifying risks through this scrutiny, SÜDPACK can devise targeted measures and introduce additional incentive programs for suppliers. Whenever possible, SÜDPACK prioritizes partnerships with businesses that actively engage in their own ecological and social sustainability initiatives.
