SIG, a prominent player in food and drink packaging solutions, has successfully sold 13 filling lines at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, which took place from November 5–7 in Dubai. These transactions highlight SIG’s unwavering commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions that drive the food and beverage industry forward.

The sold filling lines encompass the entire spectrum of SIG’s offerings, including aseptic cartons, bag-in-box, and spouted pouches.

Abdelghany Eladib, President & General Manager for India, Middle East & Africa at SIG: “Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 has been an exceptional platform for us to demonstrate our dedication to innovation and sustainability. Securing the sale of 13 filling lines is a testament to the trust our customers place in our solutions. We remain committed to driving the industry forward with pioneering technologies.”

Throughout the event, SIG also showcased cutting-edge food and drink products developed at the SIG Customer Experience Hub. This collaborative environment identifies industry trends and addresses consumer demands, enabling SIG to assist food and beverage manufacturers and entrepreneurs in creating innovative products and revolutionizing market strategies.

Additionally, SIG and Almarai launched the campaign “Pioneering Together for 20 Years,” celebrating two decades of collaboration. As the leading dairy and food company in the Middle East, Almarai has recently chosen SIG as a strategic partner for its five-year expansion plan, which aims to enhance market leadership and promote sustainable innovation.

On the sidelines of Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, SIG announced the expansion of its SIG Neo filling machine portfolio by unveiling the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic. This state-of-the-art machine is designed for multi-serve aseptic carton packs and can fill up to 15,000 SIG Slimline Bloc carton packs per hour. This advancement boosts output by 33% compared to SIG’s standard filling machines for family-sized formats.

Moreover, the event featured the introduction of the world’s first long-life probiotic buttermilk in aseptic carton packs. This groundbreaking product was developed through a collaboration between MilkyMist—an innovative dairy company from South India—SIG, and AnaBio Technologies. This revolutionary innovation signifies a pioneering advancement in the beverage industry, enabling the integration of probiotics into shelf-stable drinks for the first time and establishing a new standard in health-focused packaging technology.

Throughout Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, SIG also hosted daily SIG Talks at its booth. These sessions featured global experts discussing critical topics such as innovations in packaging materials, strategies for sustainable packaging, advancements in machine technology, and opportunities for category expansion.
