As Gerhard Schubert prepares to kick off the 2024 exhibition year with ProSweets Cologne, the leading international supplier trade fair for the snack and confectionery sector, visitors can expect to witness the machine manufacturer’s extensive expertise in the packaging of snacks and confectionery. From January 28 to 31, Schubert will be showcasing its innovative TLM Comfort Feeder at Stand F030-G031 in Hall 10.1, offering an efficient and resource-saving solution for feeding carton blanks. Additionally, the Schubert team will be providing valuable insights into their comprehensive portfolio for automated and sustainable packaging of snacks and confectionery at various thematic islands, along with information on their diverse service programme.

Sustainable packaging for the snack and confectionery industry

As a packaging machines and lines manufacturer, Schubert places paramount importance on supporting its customers in the key area of sustainability. Through its Mission Blue Sustainability Initiative, the Crailsheim-based company has formalized its own goals, values, and specific measures to ensure sustainability. Visitors to ProSweets will witness the initiative’s tangible results, including the presentation of two innovative sustainable packaging concepts: Dotlock, a technology that enables glue-free carton packaging production, and a carton-monofilm hybrid solution, also without glue, significantly reducing the use of plastic.

Schubert: Technology leader and service provider

To meet its customers’ specific needs with precision, Schubert offers a range of supplementary services along with its extensive technology portfolio. At ProSweets, the Schubert team will provide information about services such as Packaging Perspectives, which supports customers in finding suitable sustainable packaging, Schubert Consulting, providing advice on complete packaging processes and optimization potential, and 4YOU Digital Services, enabling customers to record and evaluate line data for better process understanding and increased efficiency.

Martin Sauter, Sales Director at Gerhard Schubert, emphasizes the company’s commitment to providing solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs for manufacturers in the challenging snack and confectionery industry. He says, “We are delighted that, with our innovative packaging machines and wide range of services, we can provide manufacturers with solutions that make their processes leaner, more efficient, and more cost-effective.”
