Qimarox Unveils New Palletiser Designed for Frozen Foods frozen foods, palletiser, Qimarox Food and Beverage Business

Qimarox has recently enhanced its product line to include a specialized palletiser specifically designed for frozen foods, specifically IQF products. This addition aims to address the challenges posed by structurally unstable boxes commonly used in the frozen food sector.

The Qimarox Highrunner HR8 palletiser is well-equipped to efficiently stack boxes of frozen foods onto pallets, even if they are not form-fixed or not completely filled. By utilizing a pattern generator, users can effortlessly create new stacking patterns without requiring the assistance of a software expert.

Traditionally, the quality of boxes in the frozen food industry has posed concerns, as they lack the necessary stability to withstand the weight of frozen goods. Inadequately structured boxes often expand under the pressure, causing the pallets to exceed the tolerances of conventional palletising solutions. Similarly, underfilled boxes are prone to collapsing when stacked. This leads to product and packaging damage, as well as unnecessary shrinkage, ultimately leaving customers unsatisfied.

Qimarox’s HR8 addresses these issues by employing patented technology that allows for precise adjustment of the spacing between boxes, down to the millimeter. Consequently, all boxes of frozen products can be stacked securely, even if they lack complete formability.

Additionally, the HR8 takes into consideration the ribs that provide structural integrity to the boxes. By aligning the boxes with their ribs, the HR8 effectively prevents partial-filled boxes from collapsing, as this part of the box is inherently sturdy. This results in a highly stable pallet, reducing the need for excessive film during wrapping.

The HR8 is further distinguished by its smart pattern generator, which automates the creation of stacking patterns based on the box dimensions. This eliminates the need for a software specialist to develop new stacking patterns when introducing a different box format. Operators can simply select the desired stacking pattern, and the HR8 will autonomously translate the instructions for the machine.

Designed with low maintenance in mind, the modular Qimarox HR8 ensures ease of operation and longevity.
