Innovia Films, a leading material science innovator and major manufacturer of BOPP films, has introduced a new solution for large format in-mould labelling containers. The RayoForm™ ELR70 is a 5-layer semi-cavitated film with one side matte and one side gloss, offering a reduction in density compared to standard white films.
The film’s high stiffness enables the use of bigger labels and larger sheet conversion, making it ideal for both PP and PE containers. Paul Watters, Product Manager Labels at Innovia Films, explains, “The new film grade was designed to cater to the in-mould labelling markets where large labels are common, supporting containers ranging from 5 to 25 litres.”
With its two side treatment, the film allows for the control of anti-static levels during the high-speed sheet feeding and moulding process, ensuring optimal print and moulding performance.
