The objective was to develop a sophisticated, premium aesthetic while retaining the original playful spirit inherent to the brand. This design approach aligns with current food and drink consumer trends, emphasizing both visual appeal and sustainability.

Bun Studio emphasized that vibrant visuals and striking graphics, combined with new, eye-catching lids, were integral to achieving greater shelf presence. This strategy reflects the growing demand for food and drink packaging that stands out in a competitive marketplace.

Victoria Hemphill, graphic designer and founder of Bun Studio, stated: “Logo refinement, soft textures, hand-drawn illustrations and a simplistic colour palette helped us achieve this. The packaging looks clean and striking on shelf with the red berry lids aiming to give consumers a sense of home and comfort. Working with Rachel was brilliant and I feel we managed to capture everything she had hoped for.” This creative direction underscores the importance of sustainable packaging in appealing to eco-conscious consumers.

Rachel Kettlewell, founder of Fearne & Rosie, expressed: “In order to become the market leader in jams, we need to broaden our appeal and become more mainstream, offering an accessible, premium alternative. Our dream is to one day become the UK’s most loved and trusted family brand.” This vision reflects a commitment to food and drink sustainability, attracting a wider audience.

The launch of the new design coincides with a significant national listing with Tesco, as part of their 2024 Accelerator Programme. This partnership represents an opportunity to elevate food and drink marketing efforts, ensuring that the brand resonates within the evolving landscape of consumer expectations.
