With the aim of embodying the Eviosys principle of being a global leader and local partner, the renowned sustainable packaging industry player has made a significant investment of €8 million in expanding the production capacity of two-piece cans across three factories in Alcochete (Portugal), Murcia, and Ribadumia (Spain).
This investment has been made in response to the rising demand for two-piece and EOE round and irregular cans made of aluminum and steel in the fish, meat, and pet food markets. Notably, the fish market alone has experienced a growth of 3.8% in 2022[1], underscoring the need for a trustworthy, eco-friendly, and nearby packaging manufacturer.
By closely collaborating with partners in Spain and Portugal, Eviosys has observed remarkable shifts in these highly dynamic markets due to evolving consumer trends. Being the leader in the canned fish segment, Eviosys has proactively taken measures to fulfill the packaging requirements of businesses in these regions and cater to the demands of end consumers.
To support the increased production capabilities of the factories, investments have been made in custom printing and enhanced logistics support. This enables Eviosys customers to optimally grow their product production and delivery processes.
This investment further solidifies Eviosys’s leadership in the Iberian Peninsula as it continues to grow in 2023. The expanded capacity will ensure that Eviosys can consistently provide the highest level of service to its local customers. The core mission of Eviosys revolves around investing in solutions that facilitate exceptional customer service and ensure their ability to thrive.
Tomás Lopez, Chief Executive Officer of Eviosys, expressed his views on the matter, stating, “Our investment in the region highlights our commitment to our core principle of being a global leader and local partner. In the coming years, we will continue to expand alongside our regional partners, supporting them in a dynamic and fast-moving market, enabling them to meet the expectations of their customers.”
