NOMOQ, a prominent player in digital food and drink packaging, is excited to announce the arrival of a cutting-edge robot at its production facility. This innovative technology is tailored to handle various European pallet sizes, enhancing production efficiency during the de-palletising process. This advancement presents exciting opportunities for NOMOQ within the Scandinavian beverage market, where larger pallet sizes are the norm compared to other European standards.
Established in 2022 in Switzerland, NOMOQ is a vibrant packaging company committed to transforming beverage cans into captivating art. Our state-of-the-art technology delivers vibrant, high-resolution printing on fully recyclable aluminium cans, empowering brands of all sizes to create eye-catching and sustainable packaging solutions.
NOMOQ continuously strives to enhance its production capabilities, ensuring a seamless transition from can design to delivery. While some of our Scandinavian clients were able to adapt their de-palletising processes to NOMOQ’s specific pallet sizes, this was not feasible for all producers. Acknowledging the unique pallet size requirements of Scandinavian clients, NOMOQ has proactively sought a solution that streamlines production to align with regional pallet standards.
Peter Stein, CEO of NOMOQ, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome the new high-tech robot to our site in Germany. This technology will open a whole new path of opportunity for NOMOQ in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. We have collaborated with outstanding craft breweries across Scandinavia and aimed to streamline the process of delivering their cans as effectively as possible.”
“The high-tech robot ticks all the boxes and ensures that we can cater to each of our customers’ needs. By introducing one versatile robot to handle the complete process, we have simplified pallet creation, eliminating the need for multiple machines designed for different sizes.”
“To officially launch our new offerings in the Scandinavian beverage market, we were excited to attend this year’s Great Swedish Beer Festival. We engaged with progressive brewers across Sweden and beyond, discussing everything from beer, packaging, and can designs to pallet sizing.”
NOMOQ’s Scandinavian customers, including renowned breweries such as Dugges (Sweden), Omnipollo (Sweden), and Lervig (Norway), have expressed their enthusiasm for this latest development.
Mattias Davidsson of Omnipollo shared his experience:
“We started working with NOMOQ in September 2023 and have enjoyed a smooth process from design to sample sharing and production. The quality, final appearance, and feel of NOMOQ’s products create a sense of exclusivity.”
“Additionally, the new pallet sizing allows us to use the same pallet, saving us valuable time between our canning runs.”
Mattias illustrated his experience with NOMOQ: “We had a design idea for a beer that wouldn’t work with standard labels due to the format. Instead of using stickers and hand-applying them, we decided to partner with NOMOQ, as the entire can can serve as our canvas.”
“Omnipollo is dedicated to reshaping the perception of beer. We brew a variety of styles to explore the potential of beer, and NOMOQ enables us to express ourselves artistically, which has contributed to Omnipollo’s global brand status.”
Magnus Dugge Engström of Dugges Brewery also praised the new system:
“The new pallet size simplifies production and eliminates the need for specialized de-palletising setups. NOMOQ’s high-quality printing empowers us to showcase our designs better, delivering a premium experience that reflects our brand.”
NOMOQ officially debuted its new pallet sizing at the Great Swedish Beer Festival on September 13-14. The festival included 450 craft breweries, offering an excellent opportunity for NOMOQ to connect with leading brewers in the region, discussing packaging, design, and the new pallet-sizing innovations.
Erik Frithiof, The Great Swedish Beer Festival organiser, stated:
“As a festival organiser, it is always refreshing when partners like NOMOQ wish to be part of the beer community. It’s evident that NOMOQ’s team is genuinely ‘a part of the gang’. They are doing something revolutionary, just as we are, which makes us a perfect match.”
Erik added: “In a cost-conscious business like craft beer, justifying higher packaging costs can be challenging, but it’s clear that printed cans significantly enhance the product. We have utilized NOMOQ cans as white label options for specific clients, and customers often share images of the cans, highlighting how the packaging can sometimes overshadow the beer itself!”
