BrauKon, a manufacturer and supplier of brewery systems, has announced its partnership with PakTech, a producer of 100% recycled secondary packaging handles and automated handle applicator equipment, in an effort to expand its full offering of contract brewing services. This collaboration will enable BrauKon to offer its customers a complete package – from planning and manufacturing to filling and applying secondary packaging. Through the use of PakTech’s automated handle applicator equipment, BrauKon will be able to apply PakTech handles in significant quantities.
This new development also benefits BrauKon’s own brewery, the Camba Bavaria, as the handle applicator will be used to install PakTech handles on its new line of Camba cans. These black, high-quality, and opaque cans have eye-catching and individually designed labels that will be distributed in select beverage markets and wholesalers.
Folkert Kupferer, Head of Technology Brewery, expresses the importance of finding a partner whose products and services match the excellence BrauKon strives for in its beers, as well as a strong price-performance ratio. PakTech met both of these requirements, and with the introduction of the CCA 120/180 can carrier applicator, BrauKon will now be able to provide even more possibilities for its clients and become a truly holistic contract brewing service.
Moreover, the recent transition from bottles to cans aligns with BrauKon’s constant pursuit of sustainable practices in resource efficiency and circularity. PakTech handles, made from 100% recycled plastic that are recyclable in turn, are thus the perfect complementary secondary packaging solution for BrauKon’s new Camba can products.
Jim Borg, Founder and President of PakTech, looks forward to the partnership with BrauKon as a first step in bringing PakTech’s sustainable and smart solutions to the European market. The collaboration will allow PakTech to learn more about its European clientele’s specific needs and expectations.
In conclusion, the partnership between BrauKon and PakTech is a significant development for the industry. It signifies a move towards sustainable practices that prioritize resource efficiency and circularity, while also providing a comprehensive contract brewing service that can benefit a wide range of clients and customers.
