DS Smith introduces Round Wrap, a cutting-edge multi-packaging solution that features rounded corners to minimize the need for shrink film on pallets. This innovative design not only reduces packaging waste but also offers unique branding opportunities by allowing brand identity and illustrations to be displayed on the rounded corners and the entire 360-degree side surface of the packs.

According to a survey conducted by research firm Toluna in December 2023, consumers are overwhelmingly in favor of Round Wrap. A staggering 77% of respondents expressed a preference for the Enhanced Wrap Around design over other solutions, making it a popular choice among shoppers.

Reinier Schlatmann, regional managing director of the Packaging Division, East Europe at DS Smith, announced a partnership with Carlsberg Poland for a trial launch of the DS Smith Round Wrap. This sustainable packaging solution, developed using Circular Design Metrics, not only offers durability and supply chain advantages but also opens up new branding opportunities for businesses. This initiative is in line with DS Smith’s commitment to Redefining Packaging for a Changing World and their Now & Next Sustainability strategy, as they aim to help customers design out waste and transition towards a circular economy.
