Craemer Unveils the CB3 Low: A Compact Pallet Box for Streamlined Handling food and drink packaging, food and drink sustainable packaging, Food packaging, Reusable packaging Food and Beverage Business

Plastic pallet boxes with reduced height are ideal for clear storage, enabling swift access to contents while safeguarding sensitive goods. Common applications encompass the food industry, fish processing, mechanical engineering, and metal processing. The Craemer Group, a leading global manufacturer of durable plastic logistics solutions, has introduced the new CB3 Low. Built with an exceptionally stable base, this compact, robust, and handy pallet box is specifically engineered for heavy-duty applications with low-volume requirements. It is also designed for the secure transport and storage of pressure-sensitive goods.

Building on the success of the CB3 (740 mm high) and the larger CB3 High (1140 mm high), Craemer has developed the CB3 Low pallet box in response to distinct market needs. This model is a logical extension of Craemer’s product lineup in industrial dimensions (1200 x 1000 mm). With a height of 580 millimeters, it is particularly suited for manual operations and ergonomic workflows. Throughout the design of the Low version, Craemer’s specialists concentrated on crafting a highly stable base tailored for storing and transporting heavy goods. This large, single-piece molded load carrier offers exceptional stability and resistance, even in demanding conditions. Its thoughtfully designed structure ensures comfort in daily use, enhancing efficiency in operations.

Compact Design for Ergonomic Processes

The CB3 Low pallet box is crafted from high-quality, food-safe, and fully recyclable polyethylene. This one-piece injection-molded box from the CB3 series comes standard with three unwelded runners, with nine additional feet available as an option. The compact runner version of the CB3 Low weighs only 34.5 kilograms, supports a load capacity of 750 kilograms, and boasts a stacking capacity of 4,500 kilograms while holding approximately 430 liters.

Optimized Design through FEM Simulation

Leveraging advanced simulation techniques, Craemer’s design team created the new low-height pallet box. Key aspects such as base rigidity and stacking properties underwent virtual testing and optimization using finite element modeling (FEM). Enhancements included a redesigned rib structure, reinforced T-profiles for runner connections, and adjustments to the central posts. The impact protection around the entry openings was also improved to bolster resistance during forklift operations and enhance impact absorption. The outcome is a pallet box exhibiting balanced force distribution and high dimensional stability, guaranteeing reliability in demanding logistics environments.

Proven Features of CB Pallet Boxes

As with all models in the CB series, the CB3 Low includes integrated stacking cams located at the outer corners, which securely lock into the stacking pockets on the base. It can tolerate temperatures ranging from –30 °C to +40 °C, and even up to +90 °C for short durations. Its seamless construction and smooth interior surfaces facilitate easy cleaning and drying. Transponder holders on the long sides enable digital tracking, while designated areas on the short sides allow for customized logos or markings. A custom-fit lid is available as an optional enhancement.

Versatile Applications

Due to its reduced height and robust design with a heavy-duty base, the CB3 Low is perfect for handling heavy goods that require minimal space, making it suitable for both transporting and storing pressure-sensitive items. This box finds its primary applications in the food and drink packaging sector, fish processing, and is equally efficient in metal processing and mechanical engineering, particularly for transporting and storing heavy parts or components.

Combining compact design, high robustness, and practical construction, the CB3 Low stands out as a valuable addition to the Craemer portfolio, enhancing solutions in food and drink sustainable packaging.
