Colpac is thrilled to unveil the next generation of its kraft baguette box, meticulously redesigned to enhance visibility, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

As the artisan bakery trend continues to thrive1, with 76% of consumers prioritizing quality in their food-to-go selections2, larger bread formats are increasingly favored for showcasing gourmet sandwiches. Colpac’s revamped baguette box is perfectly tailored for artisanal cafes, upscale delis, and high-end contract caterers, effectively addressing the contemporary demands of the food-to-go industry.

The newly designed box significantly enhances product visibility through an innovative over-edge window, allowing customers to present fresh baguettes at their most enticing, thereby encouraging consumer purchases.

In fast-paced foodservice environments, time efficiency is crucial, especially as catering teams prepare for bustling lunchtime periods. Colpac’s updated baguette boxes facilitate swift assembly, simplifying the packing process either back-of-house or at made-to-order stations. The enhanced design ensures easier formation and filling, featuring a crash-lock base on one end and a straightforward tuck closure on the other, which ultimately reduces fill time.

Furthermore, Colpac’s new kraft baguette box is designed to be more cost-effective than its predecessor, enabling customers to manage budgets without sacrificing quality. Additionally, cost savings can be achieved through Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR); Colpac’s team has implemented a lightweight design that utilizes less material, thereby allowing for more products per tonne. To further optimize logistics and storage, the new boxes are delivered flat, facilitating larger case counts and increased pallet quantities for transport.

Manufactured from FSC® certified paperboard at Colpac’s UK facility, the new baguette boxes ensure the use of sustainably sourced materials. Incorporating recycled content, this paperboard is widely recyclable within the UK’s recycling framework, categorizing this packaging as ‘green’ under the UK’s Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM).
